Hi

Today I reinstalled the image in a cisco access point, however since that I cannot use http to access it, it comes up with a screen with very basic commands. What do I need to do here?

cheers

It should give you HTTP access by default. Did your reset the AP's IP address? Are you able to get a prompt for username/password, or does it just time out?

Post the "show run" if you can and we'll help you out. If you can, please provide the setup as well, such as whether you're consoled into the AP and whether the AP is on the network.

hi there

I basically put a new IOS onto it, but I deleted the old directory ff, I believe I need a tar file of some sort to get the http files back on it.

Can anyone assist on this?

It sounds to me like you did a "copy tftp flash"

You need to issue the "archive download-sw /force-reload /overwrite tftp://10.0.0.2/c1200-k9w7-tar.123-8.JEB1.tar" command.

10.0.0.2 being your tftp server

c1200etc being the image you want to dwonload. This will extract all of the relevant http files. any problems give me a shout..
