LAP1131 with 2 WLCs interface down and up repeatedly

I have 14 LAP1131 running on 2 WLCs version 5.1.151.0. The problem is the trap logs on WLCs show that the radio interface is going down and then going up suddenly as below.

Log System Time Trap
--- ------------------------ -------------------------------------------------
4 Tue Feb 3 13:18:37 2009 AP's Interface:0(802.11b) Operation State Up: Base Radio MAC:00:21:a0:04:aa:00 Cause=Admin Configured

I have found some solution that suggest to change PoE setting but it didn't work.

How can I solve it?
Thank you.

Is this errors applicable to ALL 14 AP's or just to one specific AP?

All I can see so far is about 11 APs but the clients did not disconnect from wireless LAN when the problem occured. The trap logs just show on WCS.

The events on WCS showed as the attached picture.

Has anyone ever seen this problem?

Please help.

If you console into one of the AP's having a problem, what are in the logs?

Are all the APs being powered using PoE from a switch?

If so, is too much power being drawn from the switch? You can check by using SHOW POWER INLINE on the PoE switch.

All APs use power injector for power consumption.

Can you run the following commands from the WLC:

sh ap eventlogs

See below log for command sh ap eventlogs .

Hi Guys,

Did anyone get the solution to this problem?

I'm with the same problem. I've changed the power from power injector to switch POE and check the comsuption on switch and the problem persist.

I have one WLC working fine on HQ site and I have this problem with remote APs working with H-REAP.

Hi Gilbert,

Do a "sh ap eventlog ". If you see lines like "%LWAPP-5-RLDP: RLDP started on slot 0", then I believe it's a bug in the firmware.

Go to the WLC, click AP Summary and click on the AP, go to the Advanced tab. If your AP is on PoE, choose Power Injector State and click Apply otherwise, choose Pre-Standard State and click Apply.

I have 3 1250's on a power injector and keeps getting this issue. After I chose "Pre-Standard State", everything started stabilizing.

See if this will work.
