LWAPP - AP <--> Controller Bandwidth/ Delay Constraints
Does anybody know if there are figures for minimum bandwidth/latency that need to be adhered to between an LWAPP AP and a Controller ?
I know the Controllers should be located with the AP's as all WLAN traffic is passed through the controller, however I have a client that wishes to install 1 LWAPP AP in a lab environment to test authentication etc and register it back to a WLC 2006 across a 512kb WAN.
Performance is not a concern as the AP would only be used for testing etc.
I'm thinking this should work albeit rather slowly , but should provide the functionality the client is after.
Re: LWAPP - AP <--> Controller Bandwidth/ Delay Constraints
The delay setting is same as the STP setting. If necessary, enter config spanningtree switch forwarddelay 4-30 to configure the controller STP forward delay in seconds. The default forward delay setting is 15 seconds.
