Maximum range for AP 1242AG in bridge mode

What is the maximum range for this AP in bridge mode ?

I need the range for 802.11a with external antennas.

For 802.11b, the range is about 15 miles.

Re: Maximum range for AP 1242AG in bridge mode

It depends on type of bridge antennas you used. Since this model came with RP-TNC connectors, you can choose few types of the 2.4 GHz Bridge Antennas that came with RP-TNC Connectors. Others are N-Type, which cannot be used with this AP.

Antenna ------------ 802.11b range ------------ 802.11a range

AIR-ANT2506 -------- 1.66 miles (2.66 km) ----- 0.21 miles (0.34 km)

AIR-ANT24120 ------- 7.92 miles (12.75 km) ---- 1.0 miles (1.6 km)

AIR-ANT2414S-R ----- 8.89 miles (14.30 km) ---- 1.26 miles (2.02 km) ---> ***

AIR-ANT1949 -------- 11.19 miles (18.01 km) --- 1.41 miles (2.27 km)

AIR-ANT3338 -------- 20.1 miles (32.33 km) ---- 4.46 miles (7.17 km)

*look under "2.4 GHZ BRIDGE ANTENNAS".
