Can anyone point me to a reference on what these MAC addresses might be?
03:00:00:00:00:01
01:40:96:ff:ff:ff
01:40:96:00:00:00
01:00:0c:00:00:00
We had thought they might be multicast but have not yet found any info to back that up.
We are seeing these mixed in with our Wireless traffic

I don't think these are multicast mac addresses these are the defined mc addresses for multicast 0100.5e00.0000 through 0100.5e7f.ffff. and the address 03:00:00:00:00:01 does not fall in this range. Also there's no 5e in the second octet. for more details check this URL

Thanks for the link. I hadn't found that one before.
We are still seeing these addresses when sniffing our Wireless segments. So I am still trying to track them down if anyone has any other input.
