Minimum Connect rate 1140AG

I would like to limit all connections to a minimum of 9Mbs. I tried using the speed basic-9.0 command on the dotradio 0 interface. This seemed to limit me to only 9 and nothing better. Is there a better way to configure this?

Thanks

Same thing but without the 11.0, since that's the only rate that's b/g. Just make the 9.0 rate the basic one.

The speed command is for listing out all allowed data rates. In other words, you need to list all speeds above 9Mbps as well. It would sure be nice if there was a 'minimum' option!

A warning about the "basic" prefix - basic means that a radio must support that data rate in order to connect. If you don't want 802.11b clients to be able to connect, you're fine. Otherwise, you'll want to list the basic-11.0 command instead of basic-9.0, since 802.11b clients can't support 9Mbps rates.

Here's the correct config for your scenario:

802.11b clients not supported:

speed basic-9.0 11.0 12.0 18.0 24.0 36.0 48.0 54.0

802.11b clients supported:

speed 9.0 basic-11.0 12.0 18.0 24.0 36.0 48.0 54.0

What would the speed syntax be for the A radio?

Same thing but without the 11.0, since that's the only rate that's b/g. Just make the 9.0 rate the basic one.
