Mobility Anchor N+1 configuration - which anchor will it go to?

I have a WLAN that is configured with multiple mobility anchors. How does the foreign controller decide which mobility anchor to forward the traffic to? Is there load balancing across the anchors or is one designated active until it fails?

Second question is the mobility anchor documentation says that the controllers are pinging the anchor controllers to make sure they are still alive. Which interface on the anchor controller is being pinged?

Thanks!

I believe it will load balance client associations across all configured mobility anchors and there's no way to designate a primary one. This was true in 4.x, maybe someone else could speak for 5.x/6.x

Mobility ping uses management interface IP.

Roman
