Notification Receiver

Hi

I have a WCS running 7.0.116 and i want to set it up so it wil send snmp trap to my central HP NNM server. I have configured Northbound notification server but i dont get any traps to my HP server.

I can see that UDP port 162 and TCP port 7 are open between the WCS and HP server.

Is there something more that needs to be done ?

Erik,

Have you tried to confirm with a packet sniffer (e.g., Wireshark) or a logging ACL on an intermediate switch/router that the packets are actually leaving the WCS server?

If you can confirm that, then try to confirm again on the NB receiver that the packets are arriving (you could use Wireshark right on the HP server). These two tests will hopefully narrow the problem to one specific place (WCS, NB Receiver, or somwhere in between).
