permit some APs to associate to controlleer

Hi,

When a 1000 series AP connects to the LAN, it can get association to the 4400 controller automatically. Can I allow only some APs associate to the controller? When some one connects an AP to the LAN, this AP can't be brought up.

Thanks,

yytellmey

Looks like you have that ability under security > AAA. It's under AP policies.

Hi,

Under the AP policies of the security TAB, check "Allow AAA to Authorize AP" field, and under the AP Authorization list add the MAC addresses of the desired AP's. I believe this will satisfy your requirement.

Thanks,

Manu

The other side to that, it is pretty unlikely that a random person on the network, would have a lwapp AP. but yes, using the AAA to verify the AP will work as well.
