Point to point bridges random disconnects.

We have one site about 3 blocks away that connects to our main office with a wireless point to point connection.  We had some issues with the old hardware so we've replaced them with a couple of Cisco BR350 bridges that we had lying around.  Not the most current gear but it was working fine at another site so we thought we'd try it.

The site came up without too much issue, however now it is randomly disconnecting throughout the day, and I have to reboot the root bridge to get the conenction to come back up. The far side bridge is logging:

While the root bridge appears to be trying to reconnect repeatedly and shows several entries for "Can not support all requested capabilities".

Any help is appreciated.

Have you applied the latest firmware available ?

Can you post the config of both sides?

Are thre any obstructions? Are you using same antennas on either side?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I updated both bridges with the latest firmware.  The antennas were professionally installed several years ago and have been in use for quite some time so I assume they are both the same.  One is on a 50ft tower and the other is on a roof so I can't really get to them or see any obstructions.

It's about a half mile between sites and just driving along the path I cannot see anything that would be a new obstruction.  As I said this wireless shot has been in place for several years.

I'm having a hard time with the telnet console for these so I'm working on posting a config.

Thanks,

Rob

Have you noticed any time pattern as it relates to the disconnects? Are there other bridges on these roofs ?

No obvious pattern.  Today for example it's been up all morning.  By this time yesterday it had been up and down about 4 times.

It's residential through the area the signal crosses, but the antennas are up pretty high.

Its been a bot since i played with the 350s. Does logging show anything ? Look at the possible debugs for the radio interface ...
