Power Saving Settings and Response Times

We are currently running Aironet350 LMC352 cards in our wireless workstations. and have set the Power saving settings to MAX PSP.

When ping the workstations, the response time is > 100 ms (but we do not lose any packets).

When we switch the Aironet cards to CAM (No power savings) the workstations respond within 5 ms.

The workstations are currently experiencing session disconnects from our Citrix users and wondering if this could be the cause.

Re: Power Saving Settings and Response Times

We had the same problem a year ago with our DOS based clients using LMC cards. The only solution was to use CAM mode. We noticed the same problem with ping times, and had many disconnected sessions from our host. After many rounds with Cisco and the vendor of the clients, it was determined that the Cisco AP firmware was not buffering packets properly when the device went into a "power-save" mode. I would be interested to know if you find a solution to this issue (besides just turning on CAM)
