Hi,

i am having WLC 4400 controller, Product AIR-WLC4402-50-K9 with the Cisco AP AIR-AP1020-E-K9.

for some reason im willing to increase power transmission to better serve the Wireless network for different platforms.

Hi Adil,

If you have the web access of your controller you can go to wireless section or wireless tab and can access the AP section where you can see the radio 1 and b/g section and you can see what power level they are working at.

You can also set the power level manually to to 1 which will provide the max power transmission.

Hi Adil,

Have a look at this link which will tell you details about RRM (Radio Resource Management) Algorithm and how power can be dynamically as well as manually configured on controller.

For example, 1 = maximum power level in a particular regulatory domain, 2 = 50% power, 3 = 25% power, 4 = 12.5% power, and so on.

If you want to correlate % power with actual dB settings (you will have to add antenna gain separately if you have an external antenna), you might try this document (attached)
