Currently have a 1240ag access point with HHP wireless clients running VB.net applications with heavy database integration. Operation has been flawless for the last 6 months. I now need to support these same clients at the fringes of radio coverage for current 1240ag access point. Most important requirement is that I have no lapse in communication. With that said the question at hand is should use overlaping root access points or add a second repeater access point?
If I use overlaping root access points how do I minimize time needed for client to find and attach to strongest access point signal?
If two overlaping root access points are used can both use same channels?
Client response time is currently sub-second so bandwidth degredation of repeater should not be an issue.
