rogue APs

I have several locations where I have 2-3 APs and they are both picking up 20-25 rogue APs. As I understand it they are just listening to these guys and informing me of there presence. I have labled a few of these rogue APs, but more pop up every week. My question is this: does labeling these rogue APs do anything for the performance of my APs?

Thanks

No.

Rogue detection happens passively if the rogue detection enabled on the advanced tab of AP. there is a limit for each WLC platform like how many they can detect and keep it in their database.

Client disruptions happens if the AP does RLDP, Rogue containment.

IF RLDP is enabled the AP will try to connect to the rouge as client which causes service disruption.

Make sure that it is disabled.

Tom:

What do you exactly mean by "labeling" the rogue APs?

Rating useful replies is more useful than saying "Thank you"

I guess I mean Tag the rogue as MaIicious or friendly,?
