Standalone AP bridge group

Hello

I wanted to ask if I have to create a subinterface Dot11Radio0.610 since I cannot change the VLAN on the Switch it connects to is it fine if I create and assign a bridge group 61 like this or they need to match and such a configuration can potentially cause issues?

!
interface Dot11Radio0.610
 encapsulation dot1Q 610
 no ip route-cache
 bridge-group 61
 bridge-group 61 subscriber-loop-control
 bridge-group 61 spanning-disabled
 bridge-group 61 block-unknown-source
 no bridge-group 61 source-learning
 no bridge-group 61 unicast-flooding
!

Would be grateful to have some advice on this.

Thanks

Hi,You are fine with using

Hi,

You are fine with using any bridge group number.

All it matter is what you have with 'encapsulation dot1Q xxx'. The value of xxx here should match with your switch vlan number.

In order to make troubleshooting easy people configure same number for sub interface, dot1q and bridge group even though technically they don't have to match.

Hope that helps
