Various APs from 1200 to 2602 not playing nice.

We have an issue that I believe cannot be uncommon.  Because we bought a bunch of new 2602s we had to upgrade the OS in the wireless controllers but we also had many older aps in use so we had to leave several controller with the older version of the OS.  thus we have two different groups of APs on basically two different sets of controllers.  This has caused a problem where we have a mixed bag of APs in a building.  Controllers that should be "controlling" APs to get the "best" coverage don't really talk so that the new and the old APs walk on each other. Because of the piecmeal way APs have been bought and placed it is not an easy task to mopve them to different locals so that we have homologous AP coverage.  Has anyone else seen this and if there anything we can do.

Best bet would be to keep like with like.  But barring that make sure they are in the same Mobility and RF groups.  One WLC should be the leader making the RRM decisions, and they shouldn't be walking on each other if they are in the same RF group
