When importing maps into WCS (4.2) they look very blurry and are virtually unreadable, but if you look at the orignal PNG file (which was converted from DWG) it is perfectly clear. Is there any way around this?

When converting from autonomous to LWAPP and from WLSE to WCS, one of the conversion steps is to manually re-enter the access point-related information into WCS. This can be a time-consuming step. To speed up the process, you can export the information about access points from WLSE and import it into WCS. WCS expects a .tar file and checks for a .tar extension before importing the file. If the file you are trying to import is not a .tar file, WCS displays an error message and prompts you to import a different file.

Hi Neil
Not that I am aware of, I have the same issue.
The best resolution I can get is with the PNG format.
There seems to have been chat about this for a while now: http://forums.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&forum=Wireless%20-%20Mobility&topic=General&topicID=.ee6e8b8&fromOutline=&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Ddisplay_location%26location%3D.1ddc79ac
I'll be very interested in knowing what we can do, if there is anything!

Autocad is a vector graphic format. PNG, JPEG etc. are raster formats.
When autocad image is converted to one of these raster formats the
intelligence in the original image is lost. The converted image can't be
zoomed. If you zoom to the required level in autocad before conversion
the converted image quality would be good. Effectively it means zooming
is not supported on converted autocad images.
The only way to support zooming after conversion is to convert autocad
into some vector graphic format. We have to explore further on it. Most
of the vector graphic formats require separate tools and are not
supported in browser. There is one or two formats that can be supported
in IE using plugins. An enhancement request has been filed to track this
issue(CSCsu60030). The support will be added to a future release of WCS.
This defect was resolved in WCS 5.1.x and later
