I'm currently considering using a WLC2106 for a network consisting of 5 SSID's and a dedicated SSID for guests.
When specifying Web-Authentication for the guest-SSID, will the guests automatically be prompted by the WLC for credentials in a browser-window, or do the guest have to "initate authentication" from his client?
For this solution, my client is very interested in getting a automatic solution for guest-users. (Typically that doesn't require manual intervention from the administrator/receptionist)
Anyone here have experience with this feature?

Hi Espen,
Once you enable WEB AUTH for any SSID and any user getting associated to that SSID when try to open any web page will be prompted by WLC WEB AUTH page first.
So if you have choosen WEB AUTH with authentication then user need to enter user name and password as defined in Radius server or local database on controller but if you have selected WEB Auth passthrough option then he will just be prompted for web auth page and user just need to click on OK button and without entering any credentials user will be able to access the network.
