Can someone tell me what are the ranges for 340-series card when using external antennas for eg. 24dbi??
Is it possible that PC with the ISA342 card and LAN card can be a router??

The 350 has a stronger radio so range is better. Routing with a PC? Possible, yes. Reliable, not very.

Yes it is possible to turn a PC into an AP, I have done it with BSD and an old pentium 100 chock full O memory. It also hosts a FE segment, and packet filterring on a front end FE segment for my internalpersonal SOHO.

A PC or other computer can function as a router in AD-HOC mode, but you will loose the other functions of an access point. You cannot roam between (PC) routers etc.
