Wifi Mesh - A camera IP attached to a Mesh Access Point 1522

Hi All,

I have a WLC 2106 and two access point 1522. One of these access point is the RAP (Root Access Point) and the another one is the MAP (Mesh Access Point). I can see them, from WLC 2106 and I can configure them. Besides, the access point MAP is asociated though 802.11a to the access point RAP.

However, I can't do ping from WLC, to the access points. It doesn't work. Besides, I have attached a camera IP, in the port PoE out in the access point MAP, but I can't access to the camera IP.

In the Wireless LAN Controller, I have the following interfaces:

Management: 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 (port 1)

AP-Manager: 192.168.1.4/255.255.255.0 (port 2)

IP Access Point RAP: 192.168.1.10

IP Access Point MAP: 192.168.1.11

IP Camera: 192.168.1.200

Could anybody help me?.

Thank you very much

Best Regards

Nuria

Did you enable bridging on the map?

Yes, I enable bridging on then map, and on the rap too, so i don't know where the problem is :-(

On the other hand, I attach the IP Camera directly to the map. Can I do this or do I have to use a hub?.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards

I have this example scenario set up in my lab and it works really well, what code are you running on the 2106 controller and how are you powering the MAP AP?

You can connect the ip camera directly to the MAP. We have done this also in a lab environment.

Quick thought, are you using a switch to connect your RAP to your 2106 controller, if not you wont be able to connect to the camera even though the APs have associated to the controller.

Thanks

That was the problem. I'm not using a swith to connect my RAP to the controller 2106.

Besides, I have had to configure the interface ap-manager and management, in the same port (the 1). And in this port, I have connected the switch.

I don't know why it doesn't work if you don't use a switch, and if you configure the management interface in the port 1 and the ap-manager in the port2.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best Regards.
