Is it possible to deploy TACACS on a VxWorks wireless AP?
If so, how? Is there a link to such a configuration?
I found a Cisco link to configuring the AP in its entirety, but I dont see anything about TACACS.
Thanks
Victor

TACACS is a Cisco-proprietary protocol and likely was never added to VxWorks, though I can't speak from experience.
What device are you using? Aironet 350s can be upgraded to IOS. If you're using 340s, though, you might be stuck without it.

Jeff, I think its a mixture of 350s and 1200s.
I know these devices can use a CLI, although I have never used it.
[EDIT] When I say CLI, I dont mean Cisco CLI (IOS), just a general CLI in addition to a browser interface. [EDIT]
Are you saying that these APs can have Cisco IOS loaded on them, as the Cisco 1242s? If the answer is yes, then of course I can see how TACACS can then be added.
By the way, I know TACACS is Cisco proprietary.
Thanks

Hi Iamav,
Yes, 1200s and 350s can be upgraded to IOS. VxWorks has a menu-driven CLI, so it's far from intimidating.
This document shows how to upgrade a 1200:
