A TAC case is a great idea in this case.
If you are seeing lost of CRC errors on one end only then I susspect you have a problem with your coax or one of the connectors are lose.
The other problem that you could have is the Antenna placement If the Antenna is mounted back from the edge roof it is possible that the roof is in your Fresnel zone I am sure the TAC will help you find this.
