Wireless connections always disassociate after every 30 minutes approximate

I have wireless setup consisting of WiSM and LAPs. Several WLANs are created, some with open authentication, some with web authentication and several with WPA/WPAs.

I discover that all wireless clients, regardless of which WLANs they are connected to, have their wireless connection drop after every 25-30 minutes, and they re-assiciated to their respective WLANs.

Have you guys encountered the similar symptoms?

Under WLAN Advanced settings is the session timeout which is by default 1800 seconds (30 min) after which a client must reauthenticate.

I see. I assume this setting would also apply to WLANs that needs no authentication (open authentication), is that right?

You are correct... It will dissassociate the users when the timer expires.

Try to adjust your User Idle Timeout and see if that helps. Also make sure session timeout is not enabled on the wlan.

Just out of curiosity, are you running a dynamic routing protocol on the underlying infrastructure?
