Hi,

I have few questions about access point network:

1. in the wcs, should we see the maps for 802.11a or 802.11b/g end for determining overall coverage ?

2. 802.11a coverage is shown less compared to 802.11b/g coverage area, why is it so?

3. what distance of coverage does a root access and mesh access point cover in mesh

thanks in advance

1- you need to look to both. You need to specify your coverage plan with both radios with the site survey.

2. Radio 802.11a is higher frequency. Higher frequency can pass less distance before it vanishes.

3. Distance depends on many factors (barriers around, noise and interference around, antenna gain....etc). So there is no single answer to your question.
