Wireless for Home with a guest house

My friend has a house which has a guest house about 300 yards down in a hill. I tried even the best Linksys products but had no luck. So thinking about using some high end Cisco Wireless solutions. Does anybody have any suggestions? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
