Here is the problem I need to solve.

A family member has a dialup connection.

Dialup being a 56K analog modem. They would like to bring a wireless enviroment into their home keeping this 56K analog modem in place.

To be specific as possible in the configuration:

Run a phone line from the phone jack on the wall to this

1) analog modem or

2) other compatible device.

Then have the analog modem connect to an ethernet environment Or have the 'other compatiable device' have ethernet capabilities.

If anyone knows of a cicso, linksys, or any other reputable product, please let me know... thanks !

Rob

Sounds to me like you need a 56k modem with a built in Router. I haven't used them personally, but a quick google search on the subject revealed that you can indeed have the 56k connection and then connect another device to it via ethernet. You might luck out and find a particular model that works out. The only other thing I can think of would be to use an old PC to bridge the 56k connection to an ethernet port and then plug the ap into that port...
