Wireless Upgrade with FlexConnect APs and no HA

Hi all,

I am planning an upgrade of a 5508 WLC with all APs in FlexConnect mode.  The APs do not have a primary, secondary, or tertiary controller configured under the High Availability tab per AP.  I know APs should join the controller to which they were previously associated upon a reboot, but does this still hold true once the AP software is upgraded as well?

Hi,

Yes..Basically they should remember the WLCs which they know before the upgrade.

To check about the WLCs which they know ? Use ..."sh capwap client config" on the AP.
