WiSM Configurations

Cisco ap 1131's seem to be ignoring the option 43 in the dhcp scope.  Therefore they aren't attaching to the WiSM slot1-1.  Any suggestions?

Yes.  Give us more information.

1.  What is the error message when you console into the AP that's searching for the WLC?

2.  Have you tried using the DNS entry?

3.  What is the firmware of your WiSM?

4.  Is your firewall setup correctly to allow the right ports to go through?

The Sup720 mod is running Version 12.2(17r)SX7

The WiSM is running version 6.0.196.0

I have not consoled into an AP yet as it is a remote site. Hoping to get there today

to do that.

I believe the firewall is set with the correct port, but need to double check.

How do you setup the use of the DNS entry?

Can you provide more details like what the topology looks like ? You mention a firewall, etc ...

You can also console into an AP and watch the join process. Also run debug CAPWAP to watch the controller side.
