Hi All
Having installed a WLC 526 for a small school I have assumed that the ports were similar to those on the 2100 etc. However whenever port 2 is cabled the WLC dies.
The setup is a flat layer 2 domain WLC with 5 aps connected. All connected via a linksys switch. No VLANs so no tagging. Everything works fine via port 1, ap-manager and managemnet set to port 1 but as soon as port 2 connected it all sits down and the aps disconnect. I am thinking its something I am overlooking?

What were you going to use port 2 for? It can't be LAGGED as this unit only support 100mb throughput. The 526 doesn't support redundant connections either via a code switch. The 526, even though LWAPP, does not have all the features of the full blown Enterprise LWAPP controllers.

Brilliant I suspected that after I left site as the only solution.
