Prasan Venky

I tried installing chained certificate in for the https access in wlc 5508. It failed and later i came to know it will only accept unchained cert for management access. But now the problem is i could not get GUI access. It shows error like "This server security certificate is revoked "

What should i do now..?

Try different browser if that works.

If not, try to generate new self signed certified for management.

login to the CLI if that is possible and issue the command:

config certificate generate webadmin

George,

Believe it or not but this is the first time that I notice that there are two different documents about this!!

Checking the contents of both documents you are right. One is chained certs and one for unchained certs.

The doc of the chained certs has more steps included like combining all the certs in one cert.

Prasan,

sorry I just noticed that you are asking about the management cert.

unfortunately the chained certs are only supported for webauth but not for the management.

Yeah ... That is true .. It was not supporting when i tried to put chained cert for management.

I will try to get unchained cert and upload..

Good luck.

The unchained works fine with an internal
CA and as long as you enter the WLC in DNS. Make sure you use the DNS name when accessing the WLC.
