Hi guys.. just one quick question:
What exactly is saved in the configuration file backed up from a WLC 4404?
If we have a local database configured with 100+ of users (MACs addresses), and we use the "upload configuration" feature, is the database going to be backed up too?
PS: We are using 4.2 software.
Thanks in advance!

The file is XML - open it up and check out what's in there.

the database is not backed up, only the configuration. It doesnt make sense to back up the database of the WLC as that is live production data.
The configuration file, xml format, will not have all the commands that you can see in the WLC.

By MAC address I mean the local database for user authentication (we are using MAC address authentication). Not the clients connected at some point.
So if this database is not in the backup, and we need to reconfigure the WLC, we will have to enter all this MAC addresses again.

I would still recommend that you examine the XML file and see what's in there.
