I installed two 6000P cameras today. Both had old firmware so I downloaded the most recent 1.4.x firmware release onto the first one, but the media server kept complaining that it could not connect to the camera (it is reachable, and I can get in with a web browser).
On a hunch I installed the older 1.3.x firmware onto the other one since that is what my other 6000P is running and sure enough it worked fine.
My question is how does one downgrade firmware on an IP Camera? I want to bring the camera running 1.4.x down to the working 1.3.x version.

Hello Jason,
Why do you wanna downgrade?

The cameras I have running the previous version show up in VSM 7. This newest firmware will not stream for some reason. So I figure I should install the same firmware as my working cameras. But not certain how to "roll back" to a previous firmware version.

Update - changed switches and now it is working. Must have been switch config not firmware.

Jason are you running in vsm 6.3? If you are running vsm 7 or higher you have different problem?
