I have a WAP610N linksys AP that is connected to a Cisco 2960 switch. On the port with the AP i use VLAN 108 because this switch is connected to our main switch Cisco with multiple VLAN's and connection to internet lines.
The current setup works and users can connect wireless to the AP, get a seperate ip-adres and internet traffic is routed correctly.
However i want to protected the network if they unplug the AP that the port used by the AP is disabled, and even better if the AP is reconnected that the port is back anabled.
i tried first with sticky ports with MAC addresses however some users are visitors and we don't can enter all MAC addresses allowed.
Also the actual WAP610N AP has a ip address like 192.168.19.8 which maybe usable to protect the port/access.
