I have been fighting this forever, and think I finally see what is going on.
I am using an IQeye Sentinel 852 camera running V6.3 VSOM/VMS.nI have seen this issue since 4.1/6.1 when we first started implementing
Several of these cameras are connected using a wireless connection, so we are trying to limit the network utilization as much as possible - hence the scenario and question.
When I set up the camera, I told it to run @ 4 FPS. When I test it, I get exactly that - 4FPS and about 1.5Mb/Sec @ 4CIF resolution (MJPEG). Exactly as I expect.
When I connect the camera through VSOM, the frame rate changes to unlimited and the bandwidth utilization goes up to around 8Mb/Sec. Is this the expected way this is supposed to work? Is there a way to better control the network performance?
