Non of the partitions are visible under MediaServer page

Hi,

I have installed VSMS (Cisco_VSMS-6.2.0-15d-rhel4.zip) and started it, but observe that the partition is not visible to select the "Local Repositories/Clipping/Back-Up" under the Media Server page.

As I found in the help tip, I have changed the permission of the partition (/dev/cciss/c0d0p3) to 777.

Is there anything I am missing ?

Thanks in advance.

Shantanu

Re: Non of the partitions are visible under MediaServer page

Need some more information here.  From what I understand the storage partition for VSMS needs to be mounted as /media*

i.e.

/media0

/media1

...etc.

Have you followed the steps in the installation guide?

Scott.

Re: Non of the partitions are visible under MediaServer page

Hi,

2 things to look at here.

1) Is the Media* partition is set to XFS?

2) Make sure the permisions on Media* is set to nobody/nobody.

thanks

Mike
