VSMS Media Server Giving "Connection Refused" When Accessing Web Interface.

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question, I am attempting to access the management console of one of my media servers. After the cert screen (when i click on "Continue to this website) it just takes me to a white screen and Connection Refused in the top Left Corner.

Using V.7.2.0 on a UCS-2RU box running as an independent media server.

I have 4 other media servers exactly the same as the one mentioned, however I am not having any issues with those.

Has this happened to anyone and if so what is the workaround/fix for this issue?

Interesting.  Are you able to log in via SSH to the server in question (as LocalAdmin)?  If so, try switching to root with:

'sudo su -'

.. then

'vscheck'

... and let us know what the results are?

We were able to ssh into the server and reboot from there. I did not see your response until after we had already rebooted otherwise I would have ran the command and given you the results.

Rebooting helped as it appears some services stopped working.

Interesting.  You can also check to see if the VSMC portal is still up if things have gone sideways... If it is, it can be used to produce a support report; which can be picked through even if a subsequent reboot then fixes the issue.
