VSVM client system losing network connectivity

Something odd I ran into recently.  I'm sharing in case anyone else sees it.

We had a Virtual Matrix client that would lose it's network connectivity every time we tried to switch our view out of one of the views we had defined.  It was a standard view with 8 feeds, 4 across 2 high.  It didn't matter if we switched around among any other views.  Whenever we would try leaving this one particular view the network connection would drop and we had to either reboot the PC or disable/enable the network interface. We deleted and recreated the view, but we still had the same behavior.

None of the logs showed an error and the hydra state file didn't look unusual.

The fix turned out to be upgrading the NIC drivers.  They were running an Intel 82567LM-3 NIC and upgraded from a driver that was a couple years old to version 11.6.92.0.

It looks like there was some discussion regarding the 82567LM over on Intel's site that might be related.

In any case, if anyone runs into this problem check the NIC drivers for updates.
