We have a customer that currently have a Cisco video surveillance solution. They want to have zoom capabilities for both live and archive footage. Zoom capability for live footage is easy because the Cisco 2500/4500 has the capability of digital zoom and regenerate the resolution so that the picture will remain clear. But the customer is needing the capability to zoom archived footage and maintain a clear resolution. Do anyone know of a camera or software that has that capability?
Using higher Optical Zoom Lenz with a PTZ camera will allow you to do this live as well. To enhance digitally you will be limited to how it has been archived. To get best zoom on archived video recording at higher resolution is probably your best option this way distortion is kept to a minimum. Cisco 4000 HD camera.
