Overhead Paging via Cisco Voice Gateway

Hello,

I have a CUCM6BE implementation that uses 2800 routers as Voice Gateways to the PSTN.

The customer has an overhead paging system that consists of a analog 600ohm input to an amplifier which then connects to speakers. The previous PBX had a physical paging port which connected to the amp input.

I need to implement the paging system to the 2800 VGW.

I have found a document that describes the use of E&M for overhead paging. Is it possible to connect the 600ohm analog input directly to pins 4&5 of the E&M port, and then to call this port to access paging?

(Note: There is a PAM10 buffer/filter in front of the amp's input)

Does anyone know if this is possible, using FXS (ideal) or E&M VWICS? Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

Richard
