Jabber for iPad CUCM auth

What is the reasoning for requiring the end user have to provide CUCM credentials in the app setup area?  For CUCM, the "ideal" deployment is using LDAP auth.  This works great, except, that in 99 out of 100 MS AD deployments, the password has to change every 45/60/90 days.  This breaks this part of the iPad Jabber app, and will end up causing support issues.  Why doesn't the iPad app support the same authentication strategy as the Windows and Mac apps (use the Presence credentials)?  In an LDAP environment, a user only expects to enter their credentials when launching the app, not when launching it, and for individual components inside the app itself.

As-is, either they have to change the CUCM and Voicemail credentials every time their password changes, or I do.  Is this being addressed in a pending release?  It doesn't really scale well at all, as-is.
