Profinet not working with VLAN's

Hi,

I have recently installed a cisco IE3000 switch for use with profinet in an industrial environment, The switch has 1 trunk port to a cisco 2960G, this link is working ok. I have set the default VLAN to 850 and have set all ports except for the trunk port to switchport mode access, and set switchport access vlan 850.

The profinet was left at default and the the profinet is now not working.

Setting all ports back to VLAN1 has got the profinet working but now the end devices cannot access the wider network. I was wondering if setting all ports to trunks would allow the profinet network to work and allow the end devices to see the wider network and the other VLAN's.

I have not had a problem anywhere else except on the switch where the profinet is enabled.

Any help much appreciated
