running into a weird issue. we have a 2811 we use to dial into oob modems we have on other gear. we telnet into the 2811 or port 7001 which is linked to 5 modems/ttys. often after we disconnect the tty still shows in use. you cannot "clear" the line. eventually all ttys are stuck in use and we need to reboot the box to clear it. we have current code on it. any thoughts? as far as configs this is what we have
line 1/0 1/5
session-timeout 15
exec-timeout 5 0
autobaud
login authentication local_auth
modem DTR-active
rotary 1
transport preferred telnet
transport input telnet
transport output telnet
escape-character NONE
stopbits 1

How are you terminating the calls? Are you issueing a disconnect command on the 2811?

Obviously that is preferred however I am sure some users are simply closing the xterm or ssh window. However even if that was the case shouldnt I at the very least be able to clear the stuck lines with the "clear line" command? And beyond that I would think the cisco would be able to determine that the controlling telnet session has gone away. Is that unreasonable?
