3660 w/digital modems

I have a 3660 with digital modems. My question is when a call comes from a t-1 channel, it goes to a serial interface on the router and then gets assigned a modem/async interface. What is the process for teh selection of the modem/async interface? It is not round robin or anything like that i don't think.

Re: 3660 w/digital modems

Hello,

I found this explanation of the assignment process on CCO:

"Incoming and outgoing calls are arbitrarily assigned to modems. For example, consider a Cisco AS5300 access server loaded with a 4-port ISDN PRI card. After an analog modem call comes into the first PRI trunk, the call is greeted by a general pool of B channels and a general pool of modems. Any B channel can be connected to any modem in the access server. A random assignment takes place. Modem resources cannot be controlled"

Regards,

GP
