Access Server - configuring DHCP from external server

We have an AS5300 RAS and we want to configure it to allocate addresses from a pool on our external DHCP server. I have:

ip dhcp-server 192.168.1.1

async-bootp dns-server 192.168.10.1

async-bootp nbns-server 192.168.100.1

int Ethernet0

ip address 10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0(interface closest to DHCP server)

int s0:23

ip helper-address 192.168.1.1

peer default ip address dhcp

int Async49

ip helper-address 192.168.1.1

peer default ip address dhcp

I see the bootp request go out from 10.10.10.1 to the DHCP server at 192.168.1.1, but the log on the DHCP server shows that it is trying to allocate an address from a 10.10.10.0/24 pool, the network of the Ethernet0 interface. We want to obtain an address from a 10.10.20.0/24 pool, which has been defined in DHCP. How can we get the RAS configured to obtain an address from a pool other than that of our Ethernet0 network? Is the answer a Loopback interface with the 10.10.20.x address, and an "ip unnumbered Loopback0" command on one of the interfaces? Or is there no way to do this? (We have the local DHCP pool stuff working, but we want to use the external DHCP server) Thanks.

Re: Access Server - configuring DHCP from external server

Yes, you can do it provided the appropriate dhcp relay configuration required in order to attain this.
