Yes with telnet i take the error say something with the port's or say conection closed!

With hyperterminal just nothing happen.

Thanks

what about when you try to access AP through GUI from your internet browser.

try to access http:// from your internet browser and see what you get.

Just the stantar message: "the page can not be found"

I do not understnd but i thinks like ScottMac say before is the cable.

are you able to ping IP of AP from the PC?

what is the IP of AP you are trying to ping and what is the IP address configured on your PC?

I try with Many ip like 10.0.0.1 , 10.0.0.2 , 10.0.0.3 , 192.168.1.1 ......

The stantar ip give by default my ap is 169.254.153.164

That ping give's me:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms

if AP is set to factory default, BVI interface will be configured with default IP 10.0.0.1 subnet mask 255.0.0.0.

So, you need to configure static IP on your PC with IP 10.0.0.2 subnet mask 255.0.0.0, no gateway required as you will connect PC directly to AP.

you are getting IP 169.254.153.164 as you might have configured TCP/IP properties of PC NIC to get IP address automatically from DHCP server. You are trying to ping PC IP from PC itself, so it will always work. what I'm asking you is to ping 10.0.0.1 from your PC after configuring static IP with above parameters. To access AP for first time, setup a static IP manually.

Once done, try to ping AP from your PC, if you are able to ping, then try to access http:// from internet browser and you should atleast see the homepage of AP which prompt for username and password, where you can enter "cisco" in password and leave username as blank.

see if it helps ....

Sorry

But no acces even with hyperterminal or telnet or web.

after doing all changes, access http://10.0.0.1 from your PC once you have configured IP 10.0.0.2 subnet mask 255.0.0.0 no gateway. ping 10.0.0.1 from your PC.

hmmm ... then you need to get blue console cable to see what is happening from hyperterminal.

Yes only the blue cable rescue me...

Oops ... I didn't see that you are trying to ping 10.0.0.2. what i want you is to ping 10.0.0.1 from your PC. Here is the things I want you to try. If it doesn't work, then only console cable can be of help. you can use console cable to connect to AP which comes with cisco switches, routers.

1. Configure 10.0.0.2 IP address on PC

2. Configure 255.0.0.0 as subnet mask on PC.

3. No gateway required on PC.

4. ping 10.0.0.1 (AP IP Address) from PC.

5. If it pings, access http://10.0.0.1 from internet browser installed in PC.

6. If you see homepage of AP, enter "cisco" in password and leave username blank.

If these doesn't work, you need console cable to see if you are getting anything on the hyperterminal of PC.

Nothing...

Maybe tomorow i take in my hand's tha cable..

So i will try with that...

Koronaios ,

I think your AP is not having the default IP (10.0.0.1).

you can manually set the IP address of the AP. PC that is connected to AP, from the DOS prompt, issue this command:

arp -s 10.0.0.1

Mac address would be printed on backside of your AP.

Now follow the steps suggested by saurab.

Hope this helps.

Thank's i try but Nothing happend bhaskar_ch

If i out the mac in the backside of my ap i take that:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6000]

Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\system32>arp -s 10.0.0.1

ARP: bad argument:

But i try that before with ipsu..

Thank's any away
