ASA 5520 Load balancing

Have been setting up two ASA 5520 boxes which were sold to us on the grounds that they can load balance. We are using then to terminate l2tp over ipsec with pre-shared key vpns. I was told that load balancing does not work with this type of vpn. Does anybody know if this is true?

I am pretty sure that the load balancing only works for the IPSec client and the AnyConnect client.

In order to use load balancing, you have to setup clustering, and L2TP does not have the capability of redirecting.

Load balancing also will not work with Lan-to-Lan IPSec tunnels.

That's correct. You cannot load-balancing point-to-point tunnels.
