Can a Cisco 801 accept incoming ISDN calls?

I am wondering whether a Cisco801 router can accept an incoming ISDN call from a remote user with an ISDN connection at home. The user will use an ISDN modem to call in. I would like to provide an internet access to this user.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Can a Cisco 801 accept incoming ISDN calls?

Hello,

this should work. The configuration on your 801 should look something like this:

ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.1.1

!

ip dhcp pool BRI0

import all

network 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

default-router 192.168.1.1

lease 0 4

!

interface BRI0/0/0

description BRI0/0/0

ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

no ip redirects

no ip unreachables

no ip proxy-arp

encapsulation ppp

dialer idle-timeout 600

dialer-group 1

isdn switch-type basic-net3

peer default ip address dhcp-pool BRI0/0/0

no keepalive

no fair-queue

no cdp enable

ppp authentication chap callin

!

dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit

Can you try this and see if it works ?

Regards,

GP
