i ave not taken my ccie lab but i hope to do so soon i need to have some info on how much switch configuration is involved bcos i dont have access to a switch but i am using dynamips for my preparation.

this link conatin the routing and switching lab blue print which is all the technologies included in the lab at the moment
by the way u have to check this link because this info maigh be chenged any time but it is the main source to know what technologies will be inlcuded in the lab exam

Expect lots, including all the little features like MST, rootguard, loopguard and knowing when to use them. If I was setting the LAB I would even be tempted to suggest you use rapid spanning tree, but have a switch in there that won't support it to make sure you can make the two work together.
