I would like to use an external modem to dial into cisco 857 for remote support. Shall I just connect an external modem to console/aux port with that light blue cable? I configured the aux 0 modem enabled and autoconfigure discovery. I can see modem is ready and dialin and speed 19200/19200, etc. Which I assume it has the communication with modem.
Reverse telnet wont work. I have attached a captured file for aux0 info.
Also when I debug confmodem. I can see no modem is found. That's why I need to reverse telnet in and change the AT strings.
How can I make it work?
