I am having this problem as well, but on only two machines out of about 20 that use VPN. I will try the updated client and see if that helps.

HI,
You may check if it is any conflict between your antivirus/firewall product installed on the pc and the cisco vpn client.
I had the same problem with Fsecure and Cisco Vpn client.
Good luck

I have experience similar problems with Cisco VPN client and also other vendor VPN Client, one of the following cold be the cause of your problem;
1. You installed an OS (i.e. XP) that is not certified to run in in your computer by the hardware vendor. If this is the case and you really want to use XP, try this http://www.tweakguides.com/TGTC.html else install only certified OS
2. You enable too many features in the installed OS (i.e. XP) that your hardware resources could not take. If this is the case, try setting your OS to optimum performance http://www.tweakguides.com/TGTC.html
3. There are trojans or viruses in your computer. To find out and clean them, try this Free Online Scanner http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and Search&Destroy http://www.spybot.info/en/spybotsd/index.html
4. You installed multiple vendor VPN Client in your computer. If this is the case, try uninstalling all of them and reinstall Cisco VPN Client - don't forget to restart your computer whenever the uninstallation/installation process ask you to do so.
